"Space. The final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. It's continuing mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before."
Captain's Log. Stardate 41153.7 We are en route to Farpoint station where we will be picking up the newest additions to our crew. I will be taking a new first officer, a young man by the name of William T. Riker. His record is quite impressive. He has ascended the ranks in leaps and bounds, with high aspirations: he endeavors to be the youngest starship captain since James T. Kirk. Riker has even been commended several times by Admiral Kirk himself. I am quite confident that Commander Riker will be an excellent addition to the crew and that my decision in accepting him as my first officer will not have been poor judgment on my part.
Other officers we will be picking up are Lieutenant Geordi La Forge, Conn Officer and Ops, and Dr. Beverly Crusher. I knew Dr. Crusher's husband and I am looking forward to having her aboard the Enterprise. She is also bringing her young son, Wesley aboard. I am not at ease around children, but I had promised Jack Crusher when he died that I would watch after his family for him. I haven't done so well in the years since his passing, but I will endeavor to follow through on my promise to him by having them on my ship.
